Four kilometres of civil engineering structures
Project description
Blankenburg connection
The Blankenburg connection realises of a new connection with a positive impact on the entire Rotterdam region. Commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat, and in collaboration with the consortium Ballast Nedam, DEME Group and Macquarie, also known as BAAK, we were able to realise the new A24. The Blankenburg connection consists of two interchanges, a land tunnel (Holland tunnel) and an immersed tunnel of nearly 1,000 metres (Maasdelta tunnel), running under the Scheur. The connection will help improve the region's accessibility and growth of local economy.
Our input
Our skilled workers, consisting of concrete carpenters and foremen, performed all concrete work together with the construction consortium BAAK. Ranging from the structural objects to the immersible parts. The complete construction of this mega-project has been high-profile in terms of both technology and design.
