Project description
IJboulevard Amsterdam
A promenade along the IJ in Amsterdam with a hidden bicycle park under water. Together with our construction partner Van Hattum en Blankevoort, we built a bicycle park for 4,000 bikes in the heart of our capital city. Amsterdam residents and tourists can safely park their bikes here within walking distance of the bustling city centre. The construction of this structural work has given Amsterdam some additional attractive living space.
Our input
Working along the waterfront requires tight organisation and good preparation. Together with our construction partner Van Hattum en Blankevoort, we prefabricated several parts of this work. These parts were shipped to the station and sunk with extreme precision. During all phases of the project, Aelbers' professionals performed expert work.

IJboulevard Amsterdam
