Railzone Ede
To serve the increasing number of passengers at the station, the municipality of Ede and NS-Stations commissioned Prorail to revamp the Ede-Wageningen section. Residents and passengers could experience a piece of specialist engineering during construction. They could see how the pedestrian tunnel, next to the station, was being prepared to be slid into its final location later.
Our input
In collaboration with Van Hattum and Blankevoort, our professionals safely and efficiently made the concrete work. During this project, they prepared the concrete elements of the new pedestrian subway on the side, after which the tunnel was slid into position. Every day, thousands of people now pass through this tunnel. During the work, operations were scheduled to be out of service. At such times, trains do not run and the voltage on the overhead wires is completely cut off. Working with such deadlines requires a lot of coordination, planning, toolboxes and safety instructions. And fortunately, we have that expertise in-house.
